Chris Morris was born in Tucson, Arizona where he started his ballroom career at the Town and Country Dance Studio. His first exposure to competitive dancing was thru Ron Montez, his first coach and mentor. Chris and his partner Denese competed in the American Style first, but because of the strong International Style influence on the West Coast soon changed to the International Style Latin. They retired after having represented the United States in 5 World Championships and twice being Rising Star Grand Finalists in the renowned British Open Championship in Blackpool, England. Sadly, Chris Morris passed away in August, 2001.
