MCDONALD, DAVID

David E. McDonald is currently the head coach for the Ball State University collegiate team. His preferred style of dance is International Latin, but he enjoys dancing all styles of ballroom.

David first started dancing back in June 2007 where he attended weekly group classes at Fred Astaire Studios during his high school career, but little did he know that these lessons would be the building blocks to the foundation of being a dance teacher. Once he graduated high school, David migrated his way to Ball State University where he found the Ball State Ballroom Dance team in the spring of 2009 with his friends David Alexander and Laci Kraus.

Shortly after his first year of college, David received a teaching internship at Gotta Dance Studio in Schererville, Indiana, where excelled in his dancing from a fine staff of professionals. Mr. McDonald became a ProDVIDA member in December of 2009, and he continues to coach the Ball State competitive team up to this day. David is currently competing as a Pro/Am competitor with his American Rhythm partner, Ivana Gaddam, and his International Latin partner, Christen Whitney.
