Anyone Can Dance Single Time Swing (Jitterbug) - DVD
Discover how easy it is to learn to ballroom dance. This ballroom DVD is just like having a dance lesson at a studio. You've seen ballroom dancing on TV shows like Dancing With The Stars with John O'Hurley & Charlotte Jorgensen, Ballroom Boot Camp, America's Ballroom Challenge, and the Fox reality show, So You Think You Can Dance?. Now you can learn to dance right in your own living room with our National Ballroom Dance Champions - Donald Johnson & Kasia Kozak.
Born in the era of Big Band, this particular type of dance is usually quite difficult to master on account of the sheer speed of the music. But with the step-by-step instruction, you will learn an easier way to dance to faster music. After this DVD, you will have no trouble keeping up to the music as you tuck and spin, lindy rock, and kick step your way across the dance floor. Master the moves of the Big Band Era with this exciting dance instructional!
Become more confident dancing to fast tempos that lend themselves to single-time, often called "Jitterbug."

Highly recommended! I bought the Johnson/Kozak Cha Cha, Waltz, Tango, FoxTrot, EC Swing and Jitterbug DVDs from DanceVision after finding a couple of them in our local library. I'm very happy with my purchase. I also bought a Ron Montez Beginner/Intermediate American Rumba DVD since there was no American Rumba DVD offered by Johnson/Kozak. The Montez DVD is more smooth and professionally presented and there is a lot of material on the DVD; (it also costs more). But for a beginner I think the Johnson/Kozak DVDs are much better. Watching them makes you want to get up and dance! That does not happen with the Montez DVD; it is so smooth that all the life has been squeezed out. The Montez DVDs may be better for more advanced dancers, but the Johnson/Kozak DVDs have a raw and honest energy to them that is invaluable for beginners. I should add that Mr. Johnson believes the man should not try to force the lady to dance what he wants, but simply offer her a clear and definite invitation to dance the pattern he has chosen. Ms. Kozak instructs for the all the moves of the lady in their DVDs; (Ms. Montez does not speak in the Montez DVD). Ms. Kozak adds a lot to the value of the Johnson/Kozak DVDs. The practice music for their Jitterbug DVD could have been written with Ms. Kozak in mind: "She has a cat-like quality that no one can erase. And when you see her on the floor you know she's in her place."

This is an excellent instructional DVD. The format is well laid out. Clear instructions. Easy to understand. Repeated demonstrations in different angles. Enough various steps to dance a song without getting bored.
I love it!
