I can't think of enough good things to say about this video. The new rhythm series is fantastic. Donald and Kasia break each step down element by element, much like in the smooth series, but they don't stop there. Their analysis of technique includes presentation, styling, lead and follow, and every other aspect of the dance. My favorite part, however, is that they acknowledge the myriad of different opinions and controversies within American rhythm (most notably bent vs. straight leg in Cuban motion) and teach both sides and the reasons and situations where you would prefer one over the other. They even acknowledge when they go "off syllabus" from the manual and explain why, but always return to the written manual. The result is an incredibly comprehensive view of each dance. I cannot recommend this DVD enough!
