Founders of the Santa Barbara Swing Dance Club and internationally recognized authorities on most forms of swing dance, Jonathan Bixby and Sylvia Sykes have lectured and taught dance workshops throughout the United States since 1985. They have competed in numerous dance competitions, appeared on television, been featured with such great orchestras as Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, and Count Basie, as well as being voted into the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame.
